The Pell grant is a need-based financial aid program designed to help undergraduate, low-income families afford college. Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form, and any grants you might qualify for will appear on your application. Keep in mind that you need to complete a separate FAFSA application every year you’re attending school to remain eligible.
As stated in the video, Pell grants are free money and don’t have to be paid back. The amount can also change yearly. For the award year July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, the maximum Federal Pell Grant amount is $6,345. This amount may not pay for everything, but it will definitely go a long way toward helping you to achieve your dreams.
