Your Daily Treasure

Stuff is valuable. Wisdom is Priceless.

Humans are wired to remember bad things. It helped our ancestors survive by reminding them to not eat some poisonous berries or to avoid venomous or predatory animals. This inherited trait, though, is double-edged in that it makes it easy to remember sad or dark memories and harder to remember all the good ones. With mental effort, though, we have evolved to be able to override our instinct to reflect repeatedly on trauma and create and keep memories of love in the fronts of our minds. Keep trying… don’t give up when those hurtful memories get you down. Create more each day of kindness and joy.
